Work on the formatting and what is this based on exactly?
Apr 19th, 2010 at 04:55 GMT
I just compared various articles from AssociatedPress, BleacherReport, ESPN, Mademan.com, and helium.com, and then referenced their stats and length of playing time with the teams using basketball-reference. There was no website that had comprehensive lists for every team, but I looked for consistency across the lists. I couldn't cite all the sources on here. What's wrong with the formatting by the way?

At first I read Rolando Blackman as Renaldo Balkman and said WTF?! The alternative answers dont make sense, how does sczcerbiak get sam mitchell?

Make where the year(s) is smaller and where the name appears larger.

Its Bob, not Bod, Dandridge

If you're including OKC/Seattle as one team, I don't see how Durant and Kemp aren't on it. Also, T-Mac may have stopped caring in 2004, but he was a Rocket through '09.

Tried to make all the changes suggested. The alternative answers are only people who could arguably also be considered for the same position. Some would argue Szczerbiak is better than Mitchell, and vice versa. I considered Durant, but didn't include him because he's still only in his third year in the NBA. He'll be a great player, but isn't on the list yet. Kemp isn't on there because of the impact the other two had. I'll add him as an alternative though, because I did have him on there originally. All the lists I referenced though had Kemp lower in the rankings.

He may not have put up the numbers that Mel Daniels did, but Rik Smits should at least be an alternate answer for Pacers center.

Surprised by the omission of Alvin Adams for the Suns. Granted those are some great guys on the list, but he was a solid, consistent force in the middle for those 80's Suns teams.

Magic Johnson was never a forward. You have him listed in the forward spot.

Cool game. I got confused when I typed in one name and got another, like I typed in "Dumars" but got "Dave Bing". I like the idea of alternate answers, but is there a way you can show both answers? Or would it mess up the formatting too much?

when i typed in kiki vandeweghe it gave me carmelo. wtf?
Apr 19th, 2010 at 18:17 GMT
Needs some kinks worked out but great quiz
Apr 19th, 2010 at 20:48 GMT
Alternate answers are fine - but you need to show both answers then. I typed Michael Finley and got Ronaldo Blackman, and Wally Szczerbiak got me Sam Mitchell

great game and good work. i do have to say that i i have a problem with t mac being on the rockets considering they have two championships and t mac has never won a playoff series, although i know you were just going by the references

Scottie Pippen played for the Bulls in the 2003-04 season too.

I put "Peterson" and I get "Doug Christie", wtf?!?!
Apr 19th, 2010 at 22:47 GMT
I typed in Harper and got.....Norm Nixon?????

As a Charlotte Bobcats fan I must say that Ray Felton is 1000 times a better point guard than Brevin Knight ever was. And also Dave DeBusschere needs to be on this list if only for his defense (which was otherworldly.)

Fine quiz, but it does make for an odd experience to have so many alternative answers (mine was typing in Jones as a last name got me Bob Cousy).
Apr 20th, 2010 at 03:10 GMT
Somehow I managed to come up with Larry Kenon and yet forgot Wilt Chamberlain. Doh!
Apr 20th, 2010 at 03:34 GMT
i typed rick smits and it gave me mel daniels. why did that happen? i must not understand how this quiz works because they are obviously two different people.
Sep 9th, 2010 at 06:02 GMT
Good quiz. I agree with twarner50 that Felton should probably be included for the Bobcats instead of Knight.

anytime I try to remember Bob Lanier's name all I can think is Bill Lambeer
