	Equating lowest PER with "worst" is a bit dubious. You basically end up with primarily defensive players, and sometimes very important/useful/essential ones (Bowen, Prince, Posey, Perk, Rodman, Rambis, etc.). It would be more accurate to say "worst offensive players," or even more accurately, "least efficient offensive players," but that's less snappy a title.

	This is quite possibly the most ridiculously off-base quiz. The PER needs a lot of work before it can adequately assess a player's value to a team. I guess the quiz makes sense, but assigning a "worst player" to a starting 5 of the best NBA team doesn't make much sense.

	PER is certainly not a perfect measure of greatness. But I said in the notes what the criteria was. Also, going through these rosters year by year, I think PER for the most part did correctly point out the "worst" starter. I am by no means saying these players are bad. I just thought it'd be an interesting quiz to see if people remembered the likes of Cartwright, Longley, Rambis et al.

	@Craig_Hodges. The players you mentioned, while very good defensive players, were in fact the worst players in those starting fives--Perk, Bowen, Rambis, Prince. We can say "least good" if that makes you feel better about the respect the quiz gives to those players' accomplishments. (Thought you are right about Rodman and DJ was better than Gerald Henderson. Lastly, Andrew Toney was not the lowest in PER in that starting five--Marc Iavaroni was worse (and Billy Cunningham might have to come on here and explain why he started 77 games that year).

	Bruce Bowen was a machine on defence though, even if he was weak offensively.

	@bucknaked: I respectfully disagree on Bowen, who was better than Oberto in 2006-2007. Oberto's stats look really good because he got so many garbage (i.e., efficient) baskets, but Bowen had key defensive assignments that whole series and he still had a better defensive rating than Oberto, not least of which in the Finals, when Bowen helped check LeBron.

	Mad Max was benched during '95 Rockets championship run. The "worst" player should be Kenny Smith or Mario Elie.

	This is a stupid quiz. You can't go out and call Derek Fisher the worst starter on a championship team: he's hit more clutch shots than people can count. He knocked down some pretty difficult shots against the Magic and the Celtics. One of his shots was a buzzer beater against Boston which if he hadn't made, the Lakers wouldn't have repeated as NBA champs.

	Vernon Maxwell had already lost his starting job and was then kicked off the team during the 1995 playoffs. Clyde Drexler was the Rockets' starting shooting guard in the 1994-95 playoff run.
