One of the few quizzes where typing in Smith or Johnson doesn't net you a random answer or two. :(

Why use characters who are known primarily by last name (Mulder, Kelso, Cuddy,)?

Woo-hoo! An absolutely perfect score--17/30! (There were only 17 shows that I knew well enough to know the character surnames; the other 13 shows, I don't think I've seen any episodes--or not enough of them--to know the characters' names.)

@Wes_Mantooth: It's possible that a lot of people who know the characters' surnames don't recognize the first names as easily. (Michael from "That 70s Show," for instance, is almost never called by his first name, except by Jackie and Kitty; virtually every other character calls him by his surname. The same pretty much applies to Edna from "The Facts of Life"--most characters used "Mrs" with the character's surname.)

@ BamaRainbow - that's exactly what I was about to write! I missed Cuddy for that precise reason :o)

: With hundreds of TV shows each having dozens of characters, I think there can be endless "spinoffs". And that's not even considering all the great British and other foreign shows! (Do I hear Sporclers clicking the Create button as I type?)

This is one of those games where you blank on an answer, and when you see what it is you can't believe how you could have possibly missed it.

I didn't even bother with this quiz. I read through most of the names and I couldn't think of more than one answer. Pathetic - I bet my wife could get most of them right.

I always laugh at the people who are so offended that other's don't watch the same things they do. Nothing like having perspective of what might qualify as "shameful" and what just doesn't.
