	can't believe which one is most gotten, especially considering how few people got its obvious companion. Maybe people wrongly think that bordering Canada counts as not being landlocked?

	@godofthemind - two minutes is more than enough. a fast typer could guess every single state in two minutes, but even a below average typer can guess all 50 in four minutes. two minutes is enough time to discourage people from just guessing them all if they get stumped.

	I definitely wouldn't increase the time. With 2 minutes, you actually have to think about where states are, rather than just typing in all 50 of them.

	Missed four I could've gotten (especially Missouri and Arizona) and one I wouldn't have guessed - Vermont. Somehow I thought all those New England states had some kind of coastline.

	`Landlocked' has a perfectly good, objective definition: `without an ocean coastline'. This whole `major bodies of water' thing is entirely subjective. How is it decided that Lake Erie is `major' but the Great Salt Lake isn't? Will we be going back and editing the landlocked countries quiz to say that, actually, the countries bordering the Caspian Sea aren't landlocked any more?

	I sometimes think that quizzes should have more time, but not in this case. As was mentioned above, more time would allow people to simply guess all 50 states.

	For a while Lake Champlain was a Great Lake (although it no longer is) so Vermont was the last one I guessed.

	Well Kansas is probably guessed most because of it being right in the middle of the country. As far as the Great Salt Lake not being "major", the biggest thing is that it doesn't form any states' border. It is in the center of a state.

	I was taught how to spell Arkansas by adding A R to Kansas... which is the only reason I find it silly to get one and not the other.

	to be fair to those who only got one of north/south dakota or kansas/arkansas, the time limit is spot on therefore if you only remember one of the dakotas at the end you may not have time to write the other, also in the case of kansas/arkansas they are similar words but the quiz is geographical. I missed oklahoma but got Kansas, Arkansas and missouri but i doubt i would as critised for that. (I know north/south dakota are next to each other but i can still why people might only get one and not the other)

	I didn't find it arbitrary at all. I took it to mean any state that didn't border an ocean, gulf, or any one of the five Great Lakes, which are substantially larger than any other lake in the US. The smallest Great Lake (Ontario) is at least three times as big as Great Salt Lake.

	@davidr: my guess would be that the Great Lakes border Canada and require the coast guard. Also, Lake Erie is 8x the size of the Great Salt Lake, i don't think thats a great comparison

	@schlomonomo: Champlain was officially titled a Great Lake for a 3 week period in 1998 - some Vermont senator slipped that line into a bill that granted funding "to areas surrounding the Great Lakes". When word of that got out, its status was revoked. I don't think anyone outside of New York and Vermont considers Lake Champlain to be a part of the great lakes

	landlocked to me means you can't leave with a boat.you take the great lakes then the st lawrence river and you go to the ocean...
