Blackhawks are named after an Indian tribe, not a hawk.

Missing the Rays, the Atlanta Thrashers (Thrasher is a bird), and the Boston Bruins. The Bills, Sabres, and Blackhawks are not animal names as well.

Hornets? Bruins? "blue jays" doesn't work, but jays does. Thrashers?Predators? The Buffalo thing is kinda strange, though I get what you are going for. Maybe keep them out?

@Blaise - Rays refers to the thing from the sun, not the animal since 2008.

sports have animal names? I always kind of wonder about quizzes when the poster can't even write a title that is correct.

Sabre is a sword. Just because they're from Buffalo and they sometimes have a buffalo as their symbol doesn't mean they're named for an animal.

'Blue Jays' is not accepted on its own. Buffalo Sabres & Bills not named after animals. Predators not accepted. Bruins not accepted. Rays not accepted. Flyers & Redwings in grey area.

pistons an chargers arent really horses, one's a lightning bolt and the other means horse power. however, pacers and phillies are actually horses. the buffalo thing is funny though. keep it. it doesnt say where in their name the animal name should be.

I think pacers are actually cars referring to the pace car (for the Indy 500 or other races at the track)
