| Did you know the first season's theme was slightly different? Instead of Statler and Waldorf's bit, Kermit sang "To introduce our guest star/That's what I'm hear to do/So it really makes me happy/To introduce to you... Miss Sandy Duncan!" or whoever the guest star was that week. |

| Thanks for the memories. This was such a brilliant show ...it's difficult to do something like this that kids will enjoy but also appeals to adults on a different level. It was also a great teaching tool, exposing children to a wealth or arts and culture, but the kids had no idea they were learning. Jim Henson was a genius ...too bad he had to leave us so soon. |
