Rollins and Utley have the same rating? That seems absurd, given that Utley was the best player on the team last year, and Rollins had a below .300 OBP.

I love tulo, but how is he rated higher than Pedroia and Jeter? seems absurd.

Yeah this makes no sense. The comments above, Erick Aybar, Zobrist so low... just absurd.

I'm a Red Sox fan, but I'll say this: Chase Utley is better in every phase of the game than Dustin Pedroia. All of them. He's an easy second on this list.

Completely agree with the Utley comments. He should be much higher.

1a) Ramirez 1b) Utley--The Sporting News sucks.

It's really quite shocking how consistently underrated Utley seems to be by most media outlets.

Aybar above Kinsler? Jesus, Aybar on this list at all? Terrible

Pedroia equal to Utley is ridiculous. Even Red Sox fans can see that Utley is the best 2nd baseman in the game. I'm not as surprised that Aybar is on the list as some people seem to be. Sporting News is obviously taking last year's play greatly into consideration. Aybar does not hit for power but he did hit .312 which was good for 4th among shortstops behind Jeter, Barlett, and HanRam. And the people who enjoy OPS, well he was 7th in OPS among shortstops and look he is 6th on overall SS in this list. There are some bad choices here, but Erick Aybar is not a terrible choice by any means.

the fact that you put utley as the same as pedroia means you have zero credibility and know nothing about baseball. all of you quizzes need a lot a changes

Agreed...Aybar is no joke. Pedroia hits for a higher average, has a better glove, more sb's, and will probably end up with more doubles per season than Utley. All around, however, Dirtball takes the cake. He does it all, very well.

I dont know how you can laugh at Jeter. A career .317 hitter and gold glover who just turned in another 200 hit season, 30 bags stolen, and hit over .330. At the age of 35.

Completely agree with the above comments. As a Phillies fan I dont know whats more confusing - why Utley is so low or why Rollins is so high...

I would give Hanley 7.7 and Utley 7.6. No other middle infielders are even close to those two. Pujols, Hanley and Utley are easily the 3 best players in the NL and Hanley/Utley are the best middle infielders in the whole game.

i cant blv u guys r all complaining bout those minor mistakes. so what if utley is better than rollins, theyre both at the top. u could debate how good jeter is, but no one cares. u guys should be mad at NO DAN UGGLA!!! WTF? in my mind, he easily cracks the top 10 and should be considered for top 5. how is he not on here?

Ian Kinsler below Brian Roberts and Brandon Phillips? Maybe circa 2007. Also why is Utley not #1 (or at least #1-#2 with Hanley)???

I can't believe I left out the two members of the Texas Rangers. And add this Red Sox fan to the list of people who will admit that Utley's better than Pedroia. Not much better, but better nonetheless.
