Give me a ticket for an aeroplane... ain't got time to take a fast train. Lonely days are gone, I'm a going home; my baby, she wrote me a letter...
(The Letter, orig. by the Box Tops)
Great quiz. Would love to see a sequel, since there are plenty more possible choices.

No "The Letter" by the Box Tops? Or is that too obvious?

Journey's song "Don't Stop Believin'" mentions a train, unless that was too obvious to put here.

great mix of tunes! i kept trying "School Day (Ring Ring Goes the Bell)" for 3:04 because the movie Home Alone 3 makes it seem like they were part of the same song! also kicking myself because all i could think of the for Queen song was "I Love My Car'... close, but no cigar.

John Denver wrote "Leaving on a Jet Plane" and also recorded it, but the version in this quiz is by Peter, Paul & Mary.

Great quiz...tough. Long Train Running by the Doobie Brothers was always a classic in my book, though now that I think about it, there isn't a train in the lyrics???

I was waiting for the "midnight train going anywhere" to finish the quiz. Would have been the cherry on top of a great quiz.

Before I pressed play I tried 'Fast Car', 'Don't Stop Believing', 'Drive My Car', 'Back in the USSR' (starts by describing a flight), 'Short Skirt, Long Jacket', 'Mercedes Benz' (both mention car brands) and 'Take a Picture'. Until that last one came up right, I thought I has misread the title.
