Since sacks were not kept as an official statistic until 1982, how can Eller, Greenwood, and Hardman be included in this list? I checked your source (PFR is a great website), but I am unsure where they got this information. Not necessarily a criticism, more a matter of my own curiosity.

When I try to look up the statistics, it doesn't record regular season sacks until 1982, but there are sack records for post-season games for the entire Super Bowl era. I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to guess the NFL Stats and Information people have gone back and re-compiled statistics for old post-season games (especially Super Bowls) and PFR may have gotten the info from there.

Good one, since it is post-season these aren't the normal guys and that makes it good. I couldn't believe that Favre has 5855 yards but none of his receivers have 1062 or more??? Thats had to believe Freeman and Sharpe weren't on there.
