why would u include moore he wasnt drafted
Feb 1st, 2010 at 04:46 GMT
Because he may just be the best QB who came out of this draft class. And that's sad.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 05:01 GMT
I wouldnt have put Moore
Feb 1st, 2010 at 05:03 GMT
I sense a bitter raiders fan.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 05:06 GMT
kolb is good
Feb 1st, 2010 at 05:19 GMT
I just made this because I wanted to point out how sad it is that in this entire draft, there wasn't a single QB who's even good enough to be a starter. Russell and Quinn start just because their teams have no other options and invested alot in them. Probably the best QBs in this draft were Kolb and Moore and neither of them are even starters.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 05:27 GMT
Yeah jury's still out on Kolb and Moore, although they both look like they deserve a shot soon. Drafting QBs is such a crapshoot. If you look at the 5 best QBs of all time, by some estimations, you've got (in order of draft placement) a 1st overall (Elway), another 1st overall (Manning), a 33rd overall (Favre), an 82nd overall (Montana), and a 199th overall (Brady). Don't start arguing about this list (it's not mine); the point is that you are more likely to get a great QB in the first few picks, but only just.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 05:27 GMT
To put Kolb in this category is just dumb with no other explanation. He has been a consistent backup to McNabb and was the ONLY quarterback in NFL history to throw for 300+ yards in his first 2 games as a starter. Just because he isn't starting for the birds yet doesn't mean he isn't a good or even great QB.

for a seventh round draft pick, tyler thigpen had a pretty good season last year
Feb 1st, 2010 at 07:26 GMT
2003 was in fact the worst year for a QB draft: Boller Leftwich Grossman All first round picks and all busts. The only good QB selected first round that year was Palmer.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 12:27 GMT
Only good qb's on that list are Kolb in some cases and Matt Moore is maturing to take Delhomme's place, with for Carolina fans is better than nothing

Why is Kolb on this list?
Feb 1st, 2010 at 13:07 GMT
First of all, those asking "why is Kolb on the list?" Look at the name of the quiz: "Can you name the Quarterbacks selected in the 2007 NFL Draft.?" @Karmacode the 2003 QB class is better BECAUSE it had Palmer. This list has no NFL starters. And Moore should simply be a bonus answer since he was not drafted but added in FA.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 13:26 GMT
Interesting quiz, but I would argue that it's a bit too early to say that the entire class is the worst in history, only three years in. I'd go with either 1996 (Best QB: Tony Banks) or 1980 (Mark Malone, Marc Wilson).
Feb 1st, 2010 at 15:19 GMT
Kolb is going to be awesome. He will start next year and so will Moore.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 15:46 GMT
Kolb is on the list because he was drafted in 2007. DUH!
Feb 1st, 2010 at 16:51 GMT
The name of the quiz is misleading, that's why people keep complaining about Kolb and Moore.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 18:12 GMT
Moore is not bad
Feb 1st, 2010 at 18:45 GMT
I'm talking about the draft class as a whole. Kolb and Moore are decent, but they don't make up for the rest of the crap drafted. @whiteparrot: you have a good point, both of those drafts sucked as well for QBs. Doing a quiz on a recent draft though is easier for most people.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 19:41 GMT
mehh the jurys still out on kolb moore and quinn
Feb 1st, 2010 at 20:50 GMT
I think some of these QBs are guilty by association with Jamarcus Russell. Quinn certainly wasn't good this season, but had his moments and probably isn't as bad as he looked. Edwards has been a starter, even if he was replaced. If the Chiefs were smart they would have hung onto Thigpen instead of chasing after Matt Cassel. Moore and Kolb seem to be the heirs apparent, even if they might not see the field much until 2011. Basically, the jury is still out on too many of these guys to call it the worst class ever.
Feb 1st, 2010 at 23:08 GMT
The sad thing is, people thought heading into the draft that this was an amazing QB class. Guess they were wrong, eh?
Feb 2nd, 2010 at 00:19 GMT
Being that Moore wasn't drafted in the 2007 draft, which is what the quiz is about, he shouldn't be on here.
Feb 2nd, 2010 at 01:11 GMT
People take comments way to serious here. Based on previous comments I was being facetious.

Kolb is the first quarterback EVER to have his first 2 starts with over 300 yards and he will be the successor to Donovan McNabb. He should not be on the list.
Feb 2nd, 2010 at 02:58 GMT
stanback doesnt even play qb in the nfl. also if thigpen actually got a chance to start, he probably will prove to be the best on this list
Feb 2nd, 2010 at 19:04 GMT
Thigpen could actually be good, he showed some promise with the Chiefs once he got some playing time.
Feb 3rd, 2010 at 06:22 GMT
Thigpen was a solid pickup for the Chiefs. Wanted to see what more he could do before we got Cassel.
Feb 4th, 2010 at 02:26 GMT
It's "Isaiah" Stanback not "Isiah" Stanback
Feb 6th, 2010 at 12:16 GMT
Isiah Stanback is decent... just not as a quarterback...

QUIZ NAME : Can you name the Quarterbacks selected in the 2007 NFL Draft.? Why do you guys keep saying WHYS KOLB THERE?!?!?!?!?!?1oneone HE WAS DRAFTED IN 2007 FFS. The Hint is it may be the worst QB class ever.. I don't even think one has 6 wins.. Maybe Quinn.
Oct 14th, 2010 at 17:29 GMT
And Kolb and Moore's complete failures this year solidify this as the worst draft ever
Nov 23rd, 2011 at 23:07 GMT
This class makes the island of misfit toys say "Damn, i feel sorry for them"
Jan 15th, 2013 at 18:03 GMT
This was a pretty crappy class even with Kolb in it. Russell was the worst pick in all of existence, Quinn played 13 game in his 3 seasons with the Browns, Kevin Kolb got his opportunity with Arizona and blew it, John Beck is John Beck, Drew Stanton has been in more NFL locker rooms than steroids, Trent Edwards was terrible, Isaiah Stanback played receiver instead of quarterback (look where that got him), Jeff Rowe does and will always suck, Troy Smith didn't live up to his expectations, Jordan Palmer is frowned upon by his brother Carson, Tyler Thigpen had one great season in KC, and Matt Moore helped the Panthers get Cam Newton (if you know what I'm implying). Overall, Tyler Thigpen and Matt Moore where the most successful draft class.
