You misspelled The Royal Tenenbaums when you listed Paste Magazine's picks. I like the critics you chose for this. The fact that none of them chose Crash as one of the ten best movies of the decade speaks to their credibility.

good quiz. The Lord of the Rings answers were a little weird? I typed "LOTR" and the trilogy answers popped up. Seems like I shouldn't have to type the individual ones too. Just a thought. And I'm suprised how many times "Eternal sunshine..." was answered.

The thing about Lord of the Rings was that some of the sources just said "the entire Trilogy" while other sources listed individual films from the series. I wasn't sure if I should just accept all Lord of the Rings films as one thing or if I should keep them separate. In the end, I went with separate since Metacritic and Moviefone singled out Return of the King and Fellowship of the Ring but left off the Two Towers. But I'm open to changing.

Of all these lists, I'd probably agree with Film Drunk the most, only Borat needs to be replaced with the LOTR Trilogy. Even if you're a Borat fan, it certainly was not one of the best films of the decade.
And how in the world did AI make it onto one of these lists??

Misread LTH's comment, agree that Borat has no place here.

The people at the Times of London must have only seen 10 movies last decade, I can't think of any other way Team America made their list.

With the LOTR thing; i understand why you took just 'lord of the rings' but if you are going to do that you might want to consider just taking 'harry potter' for 'harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban' considering that i put in lord of the rings and got the trilogy and specific movies, i thought that if i put in harry potter it would also do the same thing. just an idea. really enjoyed the quiz. thanks for the effort you put into making it.

More than a few odd choices (AI? Borat? Team America? Zodiac? Gosford Park?)! But a fun quiz for sure. It turns out that I am really bad at remembering who directed movies I liked!

@Fidelio: I hope you mean it's a good thing Crash wasn't on their lists.

You should consider accepting "'Harry Potter 3" as an answer. That is the convention used by most movie quizzes on this site. I was happy to see City of God and Children of Men appear more than once. I was surprised that The Lives of Others was only on one list. As for Team America and Borat? Well, some critics just like to throw in "Hey, I'm cool and still in touch with the kiddies" picks.

@bluntforcetrauma: Yes, these are in order, so the top film listed was the #1 film on that list. @amehta: I couldn't find a best of the decade list for Roger Ebert, or he certainly would've gone up. And I've fixed the Harry Potter thing.

Funny how some critics' choices have you nodding in agreement while others have you wondering "What's he smoking?" Fun way to look back on the decade, though, and a very good way of handling this sort of quiz.

Brokeback Mountain, Slumdog Millionaire, LOTR, and Memento were awesome! But only one person for United 93, and no one for The Hours or Revolutionary Road? Great quiz though!
