	Thanks for the comments, I don't know what was going on with the last names thing but it seems to be fixed now, the other two have been fixed though I don't know why it wouldn't accept those answers. Thanks :)

	VH1 must be stupid because they should know Black Velvet by Alannah Myles came out in 1990.

	VH-1 IS stupid...because in addition to neglecting a number of more-than-worthy candidates (see Johnny Hates Jazz, Sly Fox, etc.), a number of the acts had other rather big chart hits. Some, you would say, even had a fairly robust chart career all things considered (see Robbie Nevil, Quarterflash, The Outfield, etc).

	Not complaining here--the quiz is just fine. But there was a one-hit wonder called "Catch Me I'm Falling" by a band called Real Life. I hear it on my 80s station Pandora all the time. I know it may not be on VH-1's ludicrous list, but IMHO it should still be acceptable on the quiz.

	@sharpdale: Except Real Life had an even bigger hit with Send Me An Angel. As stated above, many of these bands had a lot more hits than the ones stated. And, in other countries, some such as DMR had tons of hits and were big stars. Maybe the list should be called "Songs the VH-1 people remember from the 80s by bands they're too lazy to doublecheck". It also irks me to see "artists" such as Eddie Murphy, Bruce Willis, Don Johnson, Gloria Loring, etc etc make a top anything list. Not the quizmaker's fault though, and there are some great songs on here.

	Not the quizmaker's fault, but this list is awful. Fifteen of these artists (#2, 3, 12, 17, 19, 28, 32, 45, 50, 59, 67, 72, 74, 80, 97) had at least two top 20 hits and in no way should be considered one hit wonders. For #62 and 87, Vh1 actually managed to pick songs that weren't even the artist's biggest hit! #8 and 18 are also questionable because they had two songs that peaked at roughly the same spot on the charts and it's hard to consider one a hit without the other. And #34 shouldn't be there either - almost 30 years later, "Christmas Wrapping" has become a holiday standard played on every station for the entire month of December. I'd argue that artist is more famous for "Christmas" than "Boys Like". Terrible research by Vh1, as always.

caramba - I concede the point about Real Life. I'd completely forgotten "Send Me an Angel". And I also agree with everyone who thinks the list is too chock full of "One-Hit Wonders" with multiple hits. I actually became a long-term fan of Big Country, so I'm familiar with a number of their apparent non-hits that hit the charts: Fields of Fire, Look Away, Broken Heart, etc.

	I just queried my music database for all artists that only had one top 20 hit and that hit was between 1980 and 1989. Here's some that VH1 missed though - Steve Forbert, Charlie Dore, Baltimora (!), M/A/R/R/S, Sa-Fire, Nylons, Vangelis, Gregory Abbott, Levert, Sly Fox, Charlene, Timex Social Club, Dazz Band, Johnny Lee, The System, Al B. Sure!, Delbert McClinton (!), Larry Graham, Ollie and Jerry, Dennis DeYoung, Regina, Deele, Waterfront, Kix, Terri Gibb, GTR, Kon Kan, Limahl, Living in a Box, Korgis, Jellybean, Hipsway, Los Lobos, Kim Wilde, Honeydrippers, Suzanne Vega (!), Quiet Riot, Charlie Sexton, Great White, Spandau Ballet, Arcadia, Cameo, Swing Out Sister, Scandal, Dream Academy (!), Young MC, Hooters, The Tubes and many many others. Even the Clash, Beastie Boys, Talking Heads, the Grateful Dead, Squeeze, Elvis Costello and Pete Townshend fit that criteria

	Good quiz, absolutely nonsensical list! Agree with all these other comments, but also--#49 was a duet, and one of the singers is Phil Collins, hardly a one-hit wonder.

	Isn't "HEALY" (#66) spelled wrong on here? Billboard/Whitburn have it spelled as the JEFF HEALEY BAND. On an unrelated note, clearly VH1 goes by their own play lists and video chart rankings. I guess if they only played ONE of your videos, you're a one hit wonder!

	@Caramba: Been away from Sporcle for the most part for the past few days, and as it happens, I was listening to the Big Country "20th Century Masters" album on the way to work and enjoying every track. Love your actual one-hit wonder list. Any chance of an audioquiz based on it?

	@rockgolf: When I retire, I can do audio quizzes, but that's a long way off. (I had to take down my obscure 70s Canadian tunes audio quiz when the file host disappeared on me). If you want, I can extract my list and send it to you in Excel and you can cherry-pick the best ones. I can do any decade from the 50s on, if you want. I can also specify no other top 40 hits, whatever parameters you like.

	Just call it '100 Hits of the 80s' and it makes an interesting quiz. But as others have said, some of these are very far from being one-hit wonders.

	@caramba: Swing Out Sister is on the list at #72. I remember it well on the Vh1 show because I laughed out loud when one of their moron talking heads claimed that they were "the quintessential one hit wonder" when in fact they had three other top 100 songs, including another top 40. I made a one hit wonder quiz about a year ago that spanned from the 50s to the 90s if you want to take a look. They were all artists with only one top 100 song.
