Fun quiz, but unless this is from an official source, a little more creativity in the answers might be nice; like "see" or "sea" for "C", "eye" for "I", "why" for "Y", etc.

I agree with the other comments, a source would be good, but other than that i really liked it. Only one I missed was h.

gonna hafta agree with this needing a source. plus a few of these have multiple ways of spelling them, for examply pee/pea, cue/queue, and tea/tee. and how is "y" spelled wy? shouldnt it just be "why," cuz ya know, thats actually a word

I liked the fact a spelling quiz couldn't actually manage to spell the title correctly.

Kinda dumb (not the quiz, the spellings) because you are spelling out letters with letters so it is redundant and pointless. Also Z in the UK is pronounced "Zet" rather than "Zee"

The dictionary spelling for Z in the UK is "Zed" according to Merriam Webster, which the quiz accepts.

Some people do pronounce the h in why, a sort of breathy sound. Which makes it wrong for the letter Y.

@jorge, tjconn: I can only imagine the kind of headache that poor kid got when he had to spell a letter. "How can you use it in a sentence?" "you just did." "damn..."

I'm American and I typed "zed" just to see how US-centric the game was. I forgot to check double-vee, though.

Awesome quiz idea!
I remember several years ago, I was watching the Scripps National Spelling Bee, and one of the kids was given "aitch." It went EXACTLY like you'd picture it:
"Could I have the definition?"
"Aitch is defined as the letter H."
"Um. Could you use it in a sentence?"
"'Aitch is the eighth letter of the alphabet.'"
"H."
"Yes. Aitch."
"The letter. The spelling of the letter."
"Yes."
The poor girl got it wrong, although she was close to the correct spelling. At least she didn't simply say "H."

Dagnabbit, Scottique, I was going to make the exact same comment! Definitely one of my favorite spelling bee moments. However, you left out the best part- that she actually (jokingly, but still) asked if there were alternate pronunciations! It was awesome, and the crowd ate it up.

I got it anyway, but, just for giggles, shouldn't "izzard" be accepted for Z?
