	Can't believe I almost missed my home city. I kept thinking "How am I missing a 1.5mil city? Wait a second. This quiz is wrong, whatever city is number #5 isn't REALLY #5, that's us... WAIT, WE'RE INLAND???" To this day I've never really thought about it, but the Delaware Bay never quite reaches Philly; it's still technically the Delaware River even by the time it reaches the southern city limit.

	What makes Washington any different than Philadelphia? Neither belongs to a state that directly touches the ocean, they're both on rivers that immediately empty into bays (which count as extensions of the ocean), yet Philadelphia is a definite answer while Washington is only a bonus answer?

	Just a guess, but the quiz states "not located in a STATE." As Washington is NOT "in a state." It's in the District of Columbia which, the last time I checked, isn't a state. It doesn't have any Senators or voting Representatives and there's no star that "represents" it on the flag (the flag only has 50 stars, and each star is intended to represent a state). Yes, the residents pay taxes and vote for the President but it's not a state. But, I'd be willing to think that kirbymario allowed it as a bonus answer simply because if it were a state, it would fit the criteria.

	Okay, as a non American I decided to go for a self imposed additional challenge - ace at least the 500k+ ones. Still something to learn... Tucson, I hate you ;) What I found interesting: if you inserted any German city, it would roughly get the same place it has in Germany, inland US seems to be similarily distributed.

	@BamaRainbow, sorry for continuing this somewhat pedantic conversation, but as a resident of DC, I have to defend where I live. DC is not a state, but the quiz is about cities, and Washington is definitely one of the "cities of the U.S. not located in a state that borders an ocean," just as the quiz stipulates. If the quiz hypothetically asked for us to name "cities of the U.S. located in states that do not border an ocean," then I suppose we'd have to consider Washington's legitimacy as an answer. But as the quiz is phrased, I can't think of any reason to exclude Washington.
