And yet the average life expectancy is higher in Italy than in the United States: 80.5 years in Italy vs 78.2 years in the US. In fact, the US is 38th on the global lists, behind even Cuba! Mexico is closer (2.1 years) to the US than the US is to Italy (2.3 years). |
