| Agree totally with Aiwendil. This is a good concept for a quiz, but you need to be incredibly generous with your spellings and the alternate answers you accept to make it work.
As already said, you need to work out the alternate spellings for each, ones I noticed are: sweyn can also be swein and svein, athelstan is aethelstan/ethelstan, Eadwig is also Edwy and Edwiu, Canute is also Cnut.
Secondly, you need to work out the titles you want to accept. The ones you have are fine, but its needs to be wider. Edgar is known as the peacemaker as well as the peaceable for example. Many are also known as Aethelred I (8C wessex king); Aethelred II (the unready), so you could include them as alternates too.
Thirdly, I know this is based on a wikipedia article, but you need to think carefully about which kings you have included and why. If it's from 774, why miss out Cenwulf who had coins minted as Rex Anglorum just like Offa.
Finally, just small things, but whilst the title of the quiz on this page (though not on the link from the user created games) is currently British Monarchs 774-present day, which you should prob change to English Monarchs 774-1066.
Do that and it'll be great! |
