| Ignoring, for a moment, the non-acceptance of Last Names (as pointed out), the issues with initials (Ambrose Powell Hill), and mis-spellings (Joseph Hooker), I take issue with the content.
It is unfair to have listed A. P. Hill, an Army of Northern Virginia Corps commander, and Jubal Early, a division commander, and not accept Richard Ewell, also a corps commander. McClellan seems to be missing. So does Joseph Johnston, Albert Johnston, P. G. T. Beauregard, Braxton Bragg, William Rosecrans, Don Carlos Buell, and many others (Sheridan, Pope, Thomas, you can debate if they should be on here).
And who precisely is Henry Watkins Allen? Or Samuel Read Anderson? Or Lewis Golding Arnold, or Richard Arnold? |
