Nice idea, but the suffix sort of gives the answer in most cases. Plus, you can't include aldehyde and not ketone! It's like having peas but no carrots! :)

I agree with the above. Having nitrile and thiol is kind of pointless. I was expecting more stuff like ketone, ester, etc. Maybe it's better to represent thefunctional groups as R(CO)R' and so on.

You should add ketone, amide, anhydride, ester, ether, acid chloride, and sulfonate ester.
