| Good quiz, but I echo some of the comments from the earlier posters. If anything, Phoenix is closer to the Gulf of California than the Gulf of Mexico. Also, Dallas and Fort Worth are on the Trinity River. That's not a "major" waterway, but if you don't count it, you shouldn't count the Red River as "major," either -- the Gulf of Mexico would be more appropriate. Also, if the river is easily navigable, its city shouldn't count -- I don't know about the Cumberland and White Rivers, but if they are navigable, I don't think Nashville and Indianapolis should be on the list. |
