| Most of these American equivalents are also used in Britain, the only ones we don't use are booger, bangs, zucchini, pacifier and cilantro (and obviously your pronunciation of Z), in fact quite a few of these aren't even slang, coriander is actually the proper term for the herb, because it comes from the latin "coriandrum satirum" - if anything the American version is more slang than the proper word for the herb! Also I agree that you should change "Z" to "zee", because both are pronunciations of the same letter. |
