I've never seen torque as anything other than tau. When I see G, I think Newton's universal gravitation constant, likewise g is the acceleration of gravity at sea level on earth. In physics, we almost never use gram, nearly always using the kilogram when mass is needed.
B is commonly used as magnetic field
Too many of these symbols simply aren't standard. And then, there are too many things to represent and not enough letters, so the same letter is commonly used for two things. |
