| 'absense' is actually spelt incorrectly. It should be spelt 'absence'. |

| "Pervious," like the opposite of "impervious"? I thought it was a misspelling of "previous"! |
 | Disraeli: | Mar 30th, 2012 at 07:11 GMT | | 5 points |
| Oh my god, I can't believe I did this; I had everything except for "Whether" which I just idiotically assumed was a misspelling of "weather," forgetting about the actual word. I went for "Harrass" on a guess. |
 | Rachelkachel: | Mar 30th, 2012 at 17:55 GMT | | 2 points |
| Pervious got me too. But it's actually a word (although my Firefox spellchecker doesn't like it). |

| Good quiz, but I think it would be better if it wasn't a minefield one. |

| I am definitely embarrassed. |

| Vacuum can also be spelt with a double C. |

| It can, but it isn't supposed to have the double c and double u at the same time |

| This quiz should not be a minefield. No added value in it, only annoying. |

| I disagree. This game is great as a minefield! Makes me want to keep on playing it until I get it right :) Can't believe how many words it turns out I've always been spelling wrong :/ |
 | Pendant: | Apr 11th, 2012 at 17:55 GMT | | -2 points |
| @anngenaamjazz: I agree with Moonlitsea, I think it makes it a lot more attracting and addictive as a minefield. Not only did it make me play it 3 times until I got 4 right (yes, my spelling is that bad >. |
 | Pendant: | Apr 11th, 2012 at 17:58 GMT | | 4 points |
| Hehehe, it cut off part of my comment. Nevermind. Anyway, all that's important is that it is a great quiz and I am definitely giving it 5 stars and clicking 'Favorite' XD |

| What is conceed? Lol?
I think you meant to spell Concede, but you misspelled it. Cuz I tried googling "Conceed" and I couldn't find anything. |

| Omg lol, ignore me. I thought we had to pick out the words that were spelt incorrectly. Hehe. My bad. |

| The url for this game is commonly misspelled words. Pervious is not a commonly used word, let alone a commonly misspelled one. |

| "For this round of the spelling bee, your word is 'Whether'."
"Uh, could I get that in a sentence, please?"
"I don't know WHETHER the WEATHER will clear up."
"Uh...W...E-"
"Wrong!" |

 | Ulkomaalainen: | Dec 22nd, 2012 at 11:56 GMT | | 11 points |
| ETL (English as a Third Language) here, so maybe I'm mistaken, but doesn't the pronounciation of "definitely" rule out any "a" anywhere in the word? Maybe the first "e" but certainly not the second "i"? Or is it pronounced daffarently elsewhere? |
 | Statto2: | Dec 22nd, 2012 at 12:14 GMT | | 10 points |
| @Ulkomaalainen - I'm from England and would say that the way "definitely" tends to be pronounced here the second "i" could easily be an "a". The second and third syllables may spell the word "finite" but are more usually pronounced something like "finate" or "finert". |

| I didn't notice this was a minefield quiz at first. I was well into the quiz when I got one wrong. The quiz stopped and I said to myself: "What the ... . Why would anyone make this a minefield quiz?" |

| How is "underrate" a commonly misspelled word, and why is it so low on the stats? "Under" + "rate" = "underrate". How else would you spell it? |

 | Lprdgecko: | Dec 23rd, 2012 at 03:49 GMT | | 2 points |
