Just how did you determine that the northwest/southwest dividing line runs between Reno and Carson City?

No way does Monroe, Louisiana have 248,000 people. Also, is there a source where we can see the geographic centers of the states you're using?

Also, Fort Wayne, IN has to be NE, not NW, and Burlington, VT has to be NW, not NE. Fort Wayne is east of South Bend and Burlington is west of Barre.

Both Los Angeles and San Diego are south and east of Fresno, yet Fresno is stated as the largest southeastern city (and LA as largest southwestern city). So I don't understand that.

Proud to be one of the people who guessed Norfolk for Virginia and got it for Nebraska. (I also got half of the Georgia cities from guessing for Maine and Ohio.) It counts!

Believe it or not Los Angeles is south and east of the geographic center of the state. This is why Fresno is the largest city in SW California. This is california's geographic center: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=37.166111,-119.449444&spn=0.01,0.01&t=m&q=37.166111,-119.449444

@jonesjeffum: You have Fresno and Los Angeles switched, which is the confusion. Fresno should be SW with Los Angeles as SE.

There are far larger cities in SE Vermont than Woodstock. Brattleboro is much larger.

Only got all 4 on 5 states. This may be the only quiz where my knowledge of Da UP comes in handy.
