Technically the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is in the City of Speedway. You should probably take it as an alternate.

Yea i did that wrong but Im not changing it because #10 does not cover up the important part of #5. All you would see is the airport runway anyway.

Wow, how did I miss Austin, what with its unique capitol building with a dome unlike so many others out there...

For all those noting the similarities, yes the Hall of Justice from Super Frieds is based on Union Terminal in Cincy.

I literally put in Paris for the Las Vegas one, momentarily forgetting the North American condition.

Some of these landmarks were difficult to distinguish in the tiny pictures. I couldn't even tell what the canal one was. Thought it was modern art.

I was not aware that North American "landmarks" mostly consist of American public buildings

Got 7, should have gotten 8, and need a decent headslap for confusing "US" with "North American" when usually I am one of the first to point out said difference. Feel free.

Cool quiz. People are just crying because they couldn't get any and they're too used to the super easy ones. I still only got 8 but it was fun. Good thing I went to San Diego this summer or I would have only gotten 7. ;)

I don't wish to offend any Red Sox fans, but in a photo of that size, the interior view of one baseball field looks very much like any other. It's not like there's nothing else in Boston in terms of recognisable landmarks either.

@decorativeed, I'm not disagreeing with you, but Fenway, being the oldest ballpark in use today, makes it a shoo-in. The only other possibility in my opinion would be Wrigley, but there's no way that Fenway and Wrigley can be confused with each other, no matter what the size of the photo is. And this is coming from someone who is in no way a Red Sox fan.

Some of these seemed a little odd to me. Is Denver's airport really that different from any other airport? Especially from that distance. And Austin really likes to tout its capitol as somehow better than others, but it looks just like 90% of all the other state capitols out of context.

It's one thing to be challenging, it's another to use pretty obscure structures and call them "landmarks." I didn't get the Cincinnati one, but if it inspired the Hall of Justice at least some people must know it. On the other hand, I just went to Portland this summer and no tour guide I saw even mentioned Pioneer Courthouse as a notable site for either architecture or history. And maybe I'm just being ignorant, but I can't figure out why anyone would recognize a rather undistinguished bridge in a city that not that many people either live in or visit.

Wow, what an ENORMOUS dropoff between Los Angeles and Pittsburgh! I liked the quiz overall - a fairly good mix of instantly-recognizable and obscure-enough-to-inspire-thought. I'm not so sure a few of them really stand out enough to be guessed by anyone who doesn't see them regularly, though. I've been to Austin and seen that building, but it isn't very dissimilar from dozens of other capitol buildings across North America.

25% of people got Denver- that's pretty good considering all the complaining that it is their airport

It's really a bit sad that only 3 percent of sporclers can recognize the National World War I Memorial -- AKA the Liberty Memorial in Kansas City. If a memorial isn't in Washington, people seem to overlook it.

Also, anyone who has ever been to Denver should have got the airport right away. That place IS a landmark. How many cities have a tent for an airport?

I agree that the Panama picture is weird, but it's still sad only 12.8% of people realize the whole canal connection...

I half agree with plaidgoat. I think anyone who spends any time in downtown Portland would recognize the Pioneer Courthouse, but there's no reason anyone else would. Even though I live in Portland, I tried a couple other things for it first, before I realized why it looked familiar. The particular picture chosen actually made it harder, because all of the flowers and plants in the foreground are actually temporary flower pots set up in a town square. Makes it look like it's sitting in a park, which threw me off.
