I think Van Buren is an error, with the election of 1840 result down twice.

I agree. He only won about 10% of the popular vote when he ran for the Free-Soil Party.

why isn't Eugene Debs listed as a candidate, he ran 4 times...oh, right because the US would never elect a socialist to the presidency :/

I'd agree there either need to be more answers or a note that this only includes the major party candidates.

I could only think of Clarence Darrow instead of Bryan, not helpful.

It's funny that it's easier to think of the perennial candidates who never came close to winning (Eugene V. Debs, George Wallace, Norman Thomas, Ralph Nader, Harold Stassen--none of whom hit the three-time 10% threshold for this quiz) than to think of those who won twice but lost once beforehand (Jefferson, Jackson).

So wait... Grover Cleveland got his highest percentage of the popular vote in the only election he didn't actually win? Man, politics is weird.

No president has won more than 65% of the popular vote, so those weird percentages for Jefferson threw me off; you might indicate that percentages before 1824 are percentage of Electoral votes, not popular ones; or else list electoral votes for everyone.
