| New York is really not a surprise, and San Francisco shouldn't be either if you've ever been there. Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia, and Washington are all cities well known for being urban centers. Newark is kinda like a mini-New York, just with lower buildings. Santa Ana and Long Beach are suburbs of Los Angeles, part of a densely populated metropolitan area. The reason Los Angeles is not on here is because it's HUGE, area wise. Along with a dense downtown area, it also includes surrounding suburbs and even a few parks that really decrease overall population density. Miami I'm not familiar with, but since it's the most well known city in Florida, I just got it as a random guess. |
