I always do this sort of thing by conference. I have to say trying to remember all 16 Big East teams is really annoying.

I'm pretty sure that Shaq is 4th place all time at LSU, not 1st.

@childenoland: The "highest scorer" refers to the player from that school with the highest NBA career point total, which is certainly O'Neal. It does not necessarily match up with having the career best for that particular university (for example, Paul Arizin is 15th on Villanova's career list, but tops in terms of NBA scoring).

@RyanUR: I do these geographically, and based on the comments, it appears some people do it by thinking of players and where they went. It's interesting how some of us take very different approaches.

@yankeesspurs101 Obviously you don't know much college basketball history. USF has 14 players with 1,000 NBA Points, besides Bill Russell there is HOFer KC Jones, Bill Cartwright, Quintin Dailey, Phil Smith and Jumpin' Joe Ellis to name the most prominent.

that was a good quiz. at first i thought it was the college with the highest scoring player so the first college i typed in was providence because Marshawn Brooks. I went to a providence game and i got to play during half time, and that same game Brooks had 42, and then in the same season he had a 52 point game. He better be in the NBA

RyanUR (and others): I typically do these quizzes by state. The downside with that is I tend to forget some non-state/city teams (Marquette, St. Johns, Clemson, Auburn, etc) and also on CBB quizzes I always forget Georgetown.

Where's the love for the friars. I'm a huge Providence fan and I am beaming that they are on the list. Can't wait to see Marshon drafted and becoming the next Kobe. Which reminds me, who else thinks that Marshon Brooks looks like Kobe when Kobe was first in the NBA?

Ever hear of "Pistol" Pete Maravich?? He is the all time leading scorer in NCAA history, he went to LSU, therefore, Shaq can't be right.

@greekserb: As explained above, its the school's highest scorer in the NBA, not the highest scorer at the school.

Hard to believe Iverson wasn't the top guy for Georgetown. He could have easily passed Ewing if he had his head together.
