Should take "Van Slyke" instead of having to type "Slyke". Otherwise, nice quiz

Does anyone else just see one giant 182-answer long lineup instead of 20 individual ones?

Sporcle is all kinds of fubar'd today. Is this a poor attempt at trick or treat humor?

@JRegal. I was just wondering if this was some rather poor Halloween joke or that something has happened in the coding. All the answers have gone into gooky order.

The layout of this quiz is eerily similar to the Pirates organization and their farm system.

Apparently in 1996 there were more people dressed up as Pirates on Opening Day than there were people dressed as pirates at my house last Halloween.

Hey all Sorry have some technical issues today and we are working to fix it. As a consolation, for today only, if you dress up in some kind of costume, we will do our best to make sure that you are given some candy.

@jamesj0324 - I was going to say something about this. No, I don't think it is a coincidence :)

lj55, 15 starting everything since 1991. No wonder I couldn't name anyone. I got way more on this just by typing in common names than by actually remembering anyone.

Ah, the Piitsburgh Pirates - it's a virtual who's who of who cares. Seriously, though, because of they have been the woeful underdog for so long they have become one of my favorite teams. Look at what their line-up turned out to be at the end of this season(w/ Alvarez, Tabata, and Walker) and they could turn into a serious threat if they could just get some damn pitching.

@tmxicon: As someone who lives in the Burgh (and unfortunately gets to see a lot of the Pirates) I can tell you that they need a lot more than 'some' pitching. The Pirates might have one or two pitchers on their roster who would make a staff like the Giants, Phillies, or Rays. And don't forget Andrew McCutchen; he's going to be a star player for a long time in baseball.

@Bretzky The Pirates need a new front office mentality more than anything. They have Heredia, Allie, Taillon, Lincoln, and Von Rosenberg in the minors, so pitching won't be a big deal.

Funny - the number of players I guessed right in each year was proportional to their win total. Coincidence? I think not.
