| So, to make this quiz I looked through the IMDB top 200 and listed the ones that were clearly based on a book. I excluded movies based on plays or other movies, and ones based on multiple books (Patton, for example). I also tried to exclude ones where the "adaptation" was so loose as to be meaningless - for example, the Bourne sequels are apparently nothing like the books with which they share their name, except in having Jason Bourne in them. I also tried to exclude movies based on short stories, but included novellas, which may be inconsistent. Obviously, a complicated process, so some books may be included or excluded unfairly. |
