Jesus, could this get any more subjective? I'd say Mexico is a pretty damn "major" ally, for instance. Also, Colombia is certainly way more of an "ally" to the U.S. than Argentina. This list is....odd.

New Zealand definitely is not an ally, as they will not allow US Naval ships into their ports due to their nuclear-free status. New Zealand is a friend, but not an ally of the United States

Major Non-Nato Ally is an official term in US foreign politics, so the list may be subjective, but that's not the contributors fault.

Also, anyone with basic knowledge of post-WWII international politics recognizes that Argentina has been consistently designated as the United States' most critical ally in Latin America. And that Mexico is not considered an ally, major or minor.
