Very clever! I was trying to figure out what in the world the title could possibly mean, then when I read the description just laughed.

Chubby Checker is the ultimate Grover Cleveland... "The Twist" was a #1 in 1960 and fell off the chart completely before returning and hitting #1 again in 1962.

@Jmsr: Am I correct that Chic & Leona Lewis are the only acts where the song hits #1, fell out, returned to #1, fell out again and returned a third time?
If I recall Leona first hit #1 on downloads, then returned to #1 after performing the song on American Idol, spurring another sales blip, then finally several weeks later, radio played the song enough for a third visit to the apex.

@rockgolf: Both T.I. songs from 2008 did that as well. Of course much of that was T.I. fighting T.I. But for 20 years no song did, then for the next 30 only one song did it. Then in one year it happens three times. It's a bit like the over 11 year gap when no song left and returned to #1 from '83-94.

Only 14% and 8% are getting the two Beatles songs? I weep for the children.

@Sachsen: As The Who said, the kids are alright. It's just that there's so many possible Beatles #1's that it's easier to pick the low-hanging fruit, like Rupert Holmes or Leona Lewis.

Okay, I feel like an idiot now that I understand it's Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond.....not some obscure band called Barbra and Neil.
