I'm not clear as to whether the last "word" in your URL is supposed to be an abbreviation of US / UK, or whether you are giving your opinion on several of the songs.

Never knew "The Joker" charted in the UK so recently. Wow.

Tiny little quibble, Céline Dion should have an accent :). This apart, enjoyable quiz!

@barnztormre: it did nothing originally but then in 1990 Levi used it in one of their adverts and it got to the top off the back of that. Uncontroversial opinion: "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" >>> "Hangin' Tough". I reckon The Art of Noise could do something decent with the former.

In comparison with the 80s, it seems the 90s weren't the decade where US and UK talked same language in music

@H0limkill: If you ever heard her talk, you'd know Céline Dion
does
have an accent :).

actually, i really love a lot of these songs, and i can understand why they were so huge in both markets. i had no idea that "the joker" went to #1 in the 90s in the uk! wikipedia sez it had to do with a tv ad. how strange!

Any chance you could accept "I Would Do Anything For Love" for the Meat Loaf clue? I tried everything but the contraction... Good quiz.

I recommend you look at the UB40 answer again. It actually called '(I Can't Help) Falling In Love' so you should accept variations of that.
