	amazing how some artists can stay relevant for years without having the #1s, and other artists get a couple of #1s on one album and then you never hear from them again.

	Minor quibble about the 1958 listing. First off, what are "Chpimunks?" I didn't get this answer, but if someone had typed "Chipmunks," would the answer be correct or not? Which leads to the other part of the quibble: The Chipmunks (no matter how it's spelled) did NOT have multiple #1s in any year. David Seville, I'll be willing to concede, since the Billboard Hot 100 entry for the #1 "The Chipmunk Song" was credited to "David Seville & the Chipmunks." But, the earlier #1 for Seville ("Witch Doctor") was credited SOLELY as "David Seville." Properly the correct answer should just be "David Seville."

	@truwarier: Except that the group's name was "Boyz II Men." Always. Just because it's a "misspelling" doesn't change the fact that was the group's PROPER name. This wasn't quite the same as other "numeric" acts, like the 5th Dimension or the Jackson 5 or the 4 Seasons--all of which did have acceptable spelled out variants. (For most of these acts, though, the number tended to be spelled out in print--mostly in reviews--due to writing conventions which frown on the use of numerals as the first main "word" in a sentence.)

	@Mark064: Yes. The term here refers to "popular" music as opposed to "classical" music. Billboard's Hot 100 has always had a wide cross-section of musical genres. Its actual composition has been subject to change over the years, although until 1998, a key requirement was that any song had to have a commercial single available. That requirement was dropped in 1998 after nearly 5 years in which the top songs at "pop radio" were rarely reaching the chart since the labels weren't releasing singles--songs like the Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris", Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn" and No Doubt's "Don't Speak, all of which had 10+ week runs at #1 on the airplay chart (both "Iris" and "Torn" did appear on the reformatted Hot 100 in December 1998 at #9 and #47, respectively). But when Billboard did this reformatting, a decision was made to expand the reporting stations to include those which were country-only or were R&B/hip-hop-only (since the Hot 100 already allowed for country and R&B/hip-hop songs to chart if there were commercial singles available, it didn't seem right to exclude those formats from the overall group of radio stations being monitored).
