In the first line, Aretha sings "I'm Eleanor Rigby" with the rest of the verse being done in the first person. At the end, when the lyric discusses Eleanor's being dead, Aretha returns to the 3rd-person narrative. Aside from that, Aretha turns in a pretty good performance. |
