The main problem with this quiz, besides the scrolling, is that it's virtually impossible to remember if a specific song was from 1992 or 1993. Or even from 2007 or 2008, since by then songs were charting for so long they probably charted in both years.
Might I make two recommendations? 1) Ditch the 4th & 5th column altogether. Most people will have enough problems getting even 3 songs from the same year. Also it will greatly reduce the scrolling.
2) Don't go for consecutive years! Clearly you have access to a great length of history. Make it 3 or 4 years between songs. List the top 3 of 2010, 2007, 2004, 2001, 1998 etc. Yes, that means you'll be going back almost 60 years, but it makes it possible for the average joe to get some combinations, regardless of how old or young they are. |
