Salt Lake City might have something to say about this list.

Dallas? Houston? Cincinnati? Philly? Pitt? Buffalo? Indy? Some of those may border the lakes but I know most of them don't.

Texas borders the Gulf; NY, PA, and IN border Great Lakes. They should be omitted.

@wallok: looking at a few sources, it seems that SLC has a decent-sized metro area (1—2 million), but that the city proper is quite small (less than 200,000), which is why it doesn't make this quiz.

DC is on the Tidal Potomac, so it's not entirely landlocked.

then maybe you should make DC a bonus answer. it's not in a state, and the states it's "in" are not landlocked.

@Andyan - You mean Minnesota, I think? Duluth is on Lake Superior! Wow, Arizona killed me on this quiz, I never remember how urbanized it is, partly because I always think that they don't have enough water for that many people.

D.C. should not be an answer per your title. D.C. is not a state.

Just type EE in the third column and it's a bonus. There's no way to use the third column for other purposes though in bonuses.
