So we're really not giving Dallas/Fort Worth credit for the Rangers? The team plays in the metro area. I mean technically speaking, the Marlins don't play in Miami. The City of Miami has a population right at 400,000 so it would make the list too.

Yeah, saying that Fort Worth, Dallas, and Mesa dont have MLB baseball is silly - like saying NYC, Boston and Washington dont have NFL football. Change the quiz title to include the phrase 'city limits' and it will be correct.

If you're going to put Fort Worth on the list at least accept Ft Worth.

interesting concept but i think it would be better if it were by market and not city

Whoa, Pittsburgh has a baseball team?!?!?!?!? **looks at standings** At least for one season I guess...then they'll go back to being irrelevant.

You should really do this by metro. City population isn't really appropriate for this kinda thing.

professional teams don't go to the largest cities, they go to the largest metropolitan areas. That's why st. louis, even though it's city limits gives it less population than virginia beach, has a baseball team. It's metro area is very large.

Yeah, I guess by this logic Tampa doesn't have a team either since the Rays play in St. Pete.

The quiz is exactly what it asks for. Being too dim to figure out the paramaters is your problem, not the quiz-maker's.

If you're going to be a stickler about city boarders, than that should be the point of the quiz (probably already been made, but anyway). It's kind of irritating to be naming the largest cities without a team and be putting in Dallas.

well, the whole idea of the quiz was to make quizzers think. and the quiz says, "largest u.s. cities without MLB franchises" ... not "largest u.s. metropolitan areas..." therefore, no, dallas and fort worth do not have MLB franchises. but, i'll appease the masses and do one with metro areas, as well.

If you want to stick to city limits, then you need to add Miami, because the Marlins currently play in Miami Gardens.
