Okay, I'm going to say this again cause there is always someone who doesn't understand, You are not supposed to be able to see which ones you've already guessed. That's kind of the point. It's not so much a quiz as a challenge. Thanks for playing.
Apr 19th, 2011 at 22:39 GMT
Oh, and please don't give it a bad score simply because you dislike the concept. Thank you.
Apr 19th, 2011 at 22:53 GMT
Good idea, but I think you should cut the time down a little bit. I had time to type all the president's names twice (one was eluding me).
Apr 19th, 2011 at 23:15 GMT
i enjoyed it, and agree, you provided way too much time...good work though!
Apr 19th, 2011 at 23:18 GMT
Lowered the time to 8 minutes. Let me know if there's anything else that needs to be changed.
Apr 19th, 2011 at 23:40 GMT
Yes! Loved it! More!
Apr 20th, 2011 at 00:34 GMT
I loved the concept, it's a nice twist on an idea that is easy to grasp in general!
Apr 20th, 2011 at 02:34 GMT
I am embarrassed to say that I cheated (by highlighting the answer field with my cursor) and still didn't get them all.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 05:16 GMT
Great idea for a quiz. I'd still suggest cutting the time down a bit more. 8 minutes is a lot of time to type them all, especially when some can do all 44 in under a minute.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 06:20 GMT
Nice quiz but it's still way more time than anyone should need
Apr 20th, 2011 at 09:57 GMT
A fresh idea, and of course it's easy until you're stuck on the last one. I agree with those who say it's too much time, though.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 10:15 GMT
This is a wonderfully inventive new format: definitely nominated! The two I didn't get were because I was sure I had already typed them (which I think highlights the nice twist here)! I'd like to see more like this, although I won't be copying your idea myself.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 12:16 GMT
I did it all in 1 minute 29 seconds. I surprised even myself!
Apr 20th, 2011 at 14:11 GMT
Lower the time again please. I still had 6 minutes 27 seconds to spare.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 14:25 GMT
Time should be 3 or 4 minutes at most
Apr 20th, 2011 at 15:08 GMT
Still way too much time. 3 minutes max. Fantastic idea, though.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 15:31 GMT
I'll move it down to 4 minutes, but I'll change it to 3 if this many people keep getting them all.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 16:16 GMT
Missed Garfield, but then again, he was "blink and you miss it". :P
Apr 20th, 2011 at 16:18 GMT
I'm currently working on a lot more of these. If anyone has a better idea for what to call them other than no peeking that'd be great.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 19:54 GMT
It looks like I'm just going to leave it at 4 minutes as the % of people who get them all has been steadily dropping since I last changed it.
Comment below threshold:
Apr 20th, 2011 at 20:06 GMT
No way 41 percent of users are getting all of them right. There are a lot of cheaters out there.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 20:44 GMT
Great idea! Very good challenge...
Apr 20th, 2011 at 21:13 GMT
I avoided embarrassment when I got the last one with 3 seconds left. Who was I forgetting? Thomas Jefferson.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 21:16 GMT
@gtrobertson - Those are overall results which include those of us who took it when it gave you 8-12 minutes.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 22:58 GMT
i did the colors black on black and called them blackout quizzes last year.
Apr 20th, 2011 at 23:20 GMT
that was cool
Apr 20th, 2011 at 23:33 GMT
so the big question taht is never answered...how do you make quizzes like this?
Apr 21st, 2011 at 01:21 GMT
You go to styles and make the text for the answer the same color as the background.
Apr 21st, 2011 at 02:11 GMT
I really like the concept. You should definitely shave another minute off of the time though.
Apr 21st, 2011 at 02:29 GMT
The problem with the format is if you know them in order the quiz is easy. Not sure what type of quiz would be better for this.
Apr 21st, 2011 at 02:34 GMT
Only 98% of people got Obama? 94% Lincoln? Wow...and thank you Die Hard 3 for Chester Arthur.
Apr 21st, 2011 at 03:14 GMT
Thank you, Animaniacs, for giving me a convenient method for remembering them in order (minus the last two, of course, but I'd hope I can get them).
Apr 21st, 2011 at 03:47 GMT
Why is Cleveland on here twice? It was the person, just two nonconsecutive terms.
Apr 21st, 2011 at 19:40 GMT
@dpark: Cut another minute off the time. @iceman: Cleveland is listed as the 22nd and 24th presidents on all U.S. President quizzes aside from the surnames one. I could change it (I dont really care one way or the other) but then there would be other people complaining about Cleveland only being listed once.
Apr 21st, 2011 at 20:35 GMT
Very nice. My only suggestion is on the Style page increase the Number of Columns to 3 columns and increase the font size by a point on the answer cells. Really makes the missing answers pop.
Apr 21st, 2011 at 23:52 GMT
said, thank you Animaniacs! Where would I be without you three little mouse-cats.... or dogs... well whatever they were. Also @
, a possible name might be "Invisible Presidents"? Just substitute Presidents for whatever the subject is. And then the tagline can be "No Peeking"
Apr 22nd, 2011 at 00:46 GMT
Thanks for the feedback everyone. @rockgolf: Thanks, hadnt thought of that. @sheldon: Nice! I was thinking all last night what I could change it to, but couldnt come up with anything short enough.
Apr 22nd, 2011 at 01:47 GMT
This was AWESOME. I'd love to see more quizzes like this! Hope you'll make some more soon!
Apr 22nd, 2011 at 02:32 GMT
@HuskerTan: Thanks! I'm currently working on several others. Countries of the different continents, teams from the Big 4 sports leagues, etc. I was going to make a states one but found it somewhere else. Not sure what its called but I really dont want to just copy it.
Apr 22nd, 2011 at 03:16 GMT
Just published the second one. U.S. Capitals. Hope you like it. http://www.sporcle.com/games/jmatt22397/invisible-us-capitals-no-peeking
