Hi, thanks for playing! In case it's not clear, the object is to name the best college football team all-time according to College Football Warehouses calculations starting with each letter of the alphabet. For example, if Nebraska were the best team beginning with 'N' (Hint: They're not), then you would type in Nebraska. It's fairly simple, but there are a few surprises. Also, in case the URL doesn't make sense, there are 5 teams beginning with 'M' ranked in CFB Warehouses' top 30, while 'E' is stuck with just 2 teams, neither of them anywhere near the top. IMPORTANT: If your wondering about USC/Southern California, just vote in the comment below. Thanks again for playing!

VOTE HERE!!!! If you think that USC/Southern Cal should be placed under 'U', Vote this comment *UP*... If you think they should be placed under 'S' Vote this comment *DOWN*. If its zero or lower at the end of the day, I will change it. If not I'll leave it. Thanks!

I know you're trying to see which is more popular - USC or Southern Cal, but you should be consistent. Many of the schools are University of (X- GA, WA, FL, etc). Putting USC under 'U' means you should put all of those schools under 'U'.

Thanks for the feedback. Will put USC under S. However the new problem is that College Football Data Warehouse actually has UCLA listed as 'UCLA'. I'm going to put Utah under 'U', but if you disagree just comment. Thanks.

rutgers is a better program than rice

Boston College has more wins than Baylor all-time. Colorado has more wins than California all-time. Eastern Michigan has more wins than East Carolina all-time. Hawaii has more wins than Houston all-time. Iowa has more wins than Illinois all-time. Do I really need to keep going. Half the teams you listed have worse overall records than other schools that start with the same letter.

This is not going on wins. The source based the calculations on Win %, SOS, Nat. Championships, and Big 4 bowls.

okay. Rice and Rutgers both have HORRIBLE football traditions. but Rice had some good seasons back in the SWC. Rutgers didn't even win a bowl until 2006. I'm kinda surprised Baylor beat out BC. BC has been very consistent recently under Spazz and O'Brien. Also, they have claims to a NC under Leahy. Vanderbilt should, in no way, be ahead of Virginia or Virginia Tech. (btw, i'd go with Tech). To me, Iowa seems more of a force than Illinois. Illinois had a great program in the 1910s, but Iowa has been pretty consistent. I just think whoever wrote the list should look at things other than a mathmatical formula. (ie. like the NCAA Basketball selection committee: RPI doesn't mean anything)

@saban4pres: Thanks for the comment! Nice to have somebody not trash the quiz just because they disagree with the source. The main problem with these 'best in college football' quizzes is that your source is either completely arbitrary or what happened 100 years ago is just as important as what happened 10 years ago. If you want I could switch it to the 2009 ESPN poll. They have Boise over Baylor, Va Tech over Vandy, Iowa over Illinois, etc. Some differences at the top are Tennessee over Texas, and FSU over Florida, but those 'Upsets' arent nearly as big as Vandy/Va Tech. If you want me to change it up vote this comment or post below thanks.

The ESPN poll does have Rice ranked 40 spots ahead of Rutgers too.

Okay, I changed it to the ESPN poll. I hope it turns out better than the CFB Data Warehouse one. Thanks.

Oh, and if you have a problem with this formula, just go play another quiz.
