Let me know which neighborhoods you think are unnecessary and if any need to be added.

I cannot believe I completely forgot Capitol Hill but somehow remembered Rainier Beach. Fail.

is there really a difference between university village and university district? i would say that u village is part of the u district. same for industrial district (part of Sodo). also, please accept "pike place" and/or "pike place market" for pike market. otherwise, good job. makes me homesick!

I'd say the hill sort of divides U-District and U-Village. And yeah I'll take more answers for pike market. Sodo I would argue is just the area south of Pioneer Square where the stadiums are whereas industrial is between there and Georgetown but really it's hard to say.

I like your list. A general suggestion, which you certainly do not have to take. The Seattle City Clerk has some maps which divide the city into neighborhoods. I don't know how useful this would be or how different some of these areas are (e.g., the four divisions of Queen Anne on the map). http://clerk.ci.seattle.wa.us/~public/nmaps/fullcity.htm

Aren't Uptown and Lower Queen Anne the same?

This is fun. Seattle's infatuation with neighborhoods makes this a little extra hard -- no West Edge? No Tangletown? (I kid!) But you've got a reasonable source for the answers.

How is White Center not on here? uh "Pike Market" is not a neighborhood. Oh, and if "Alki" and "West Seattle" are on here, then "South Delridge" or at least "Delridge" should be too, along with "Admiral". Not that awful though.

White Center isn't part of Seattle.

That's why it's a bonus.
