| @1441, you are correct. But in general Cape Town is not regarded as a capital in the global context as Pretoria is the de facto capital. Pretoria is generally presented as the capital of South Africa. In any case I mainly wanted to show the famous second largest cities that are famous not because they are capital cities. I think its safe to leave Cape Town here as its more known due to Tourism. If you also look at Sporcle quizzes, Pretoria is regarded as the capital of South Africa, though in some comments you will get someone claiming Cape Town and Bloemfontein should also be included. |
