Good quiz. It's harder than some of the other name ones because of all the "creative" spellings, like Caitlin/Katelyn/Kaitlyn/Khaightlynne/whatever the hell. I should have known better, considering the Kortnees and the Maddysons and so forth that I've met.

That was harder than I expected but fun! I can't believe I missed some of the easy ones like Hannah and Alexandra when I have relatives with these names. Duuuh.

Is there mass cheating going on here or something? I have a hard time believing that 1 in 4 quiz takers guessed "Sierra," or that nearly one-third guessed "Destiny," "Briana," *and* "Breanna."

Miley Cyrus crossed my mind when taking this quiz, and I considered guessing Destiny, but decided not to because I thought there was no way it would be on this list...

Need to take into account alternate spellings - how many different ways can you spell Caitlin, Kaitlyn, Kaitlin, Caitlyn?

These are definitely american names, I tried my name, my friends names and hardly any of them showed up (I'm british). But it was fun going through tv shows and naming characters trying to get names.

Nearly all of my classmates' names were on this list, so all it really took was naming every girl I've ever known. Even the names that I skipped over in my head because I thought no one would use that name more than once were on here, like Shelby, Sabrina, Savannah, and Madeline. I'm pretty sure I've met people with all the names on the list.

Nearly all the name quizzes use the Social Security administration database as its source. SSA counts each alternate spelling differently, so the quiz will too. I love the name quizzes! And before you think anyone is cheating, a lot of sporclers are teachers and all we have to do is use our seating charts!

I have to wonder how high "Katie" would be if it counted all of the alternate spellings for Katy, Catie, Cate, Catherine, Katherine, Katelyn, etc.

My daughters were born in '89 and '92, so I just tried to think of all their friends and classmates. (Their own middle names are high on this list, but I'm kind of relieved that their first names don't appear on it, though we came close to going with #11.)

@DonEscamillo: It can really be both. It depends on the country and anyway, alexia is kind of a shortened version of alexandria

To pick a good stripper name, start with your favorite candy, jewel or flower and then add a holiday, a day of the week, or a color. Let's see, I'd be Kit-Kat Valentine.

I'm surprised at some of the easy ones I managed to miss. After katherine and catherine were on the list, I didn't expect kathryn, how weird. But being born in 91 I just guessed most of my friends' names and looking at my facebook feed :p

I'm just glad the generation of parents giving birth in the 90's didn't continue to the tradition of naming their babies after celebrities. Cher and Madonna and Oprah just aren't good baby names.
