	Nope, you need to spell his last name McArtney. Without a source or reference, this is a pretty meaningless list. And generally it seems pretty silly anyhow. Taupin without Elton John? Tom Scholz of Boston a greater songwriter than Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye or Holland-Dozier-Holland? Dennis DeYoung of Styx better than Pete Townshend of The Who? Half these guys better than Ray Davies of the Kinks? One token woman. One token black.

	A silly bad list without source.....it appears as an individual's preferred list rather than an authentic consensus list.

	If you do a list of your favourites, which is fine by me, please state that it's "My favourite songwriters" and then give us some hints like song or album titles. And spell the names correctly.

	Oh yeah, almost forgot: what's the point of mixing those who are mainly lyricists (like Taupin and Peart) with those who mainly compose or do both.

	What about Holland/Dozier/Holland? They wrote better songs than almost everyone on this list. Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson are missing, too. Shameful list.

	You do realize that Bernie Taupin only did the LYRICS. Elton John writes all the music. Last I checked, making music is songwriting, not writing lyrics

	I agree with Starstruck. It's fine to make a quiz about your favorites IF you label it as such, and give some hints. If this comes from another source, you need to specify what source. And if you don't get the answers right, neither can we.
