It's true! On most scripts, the words "the", "and", "&", "a" are removed from the text you enter, but on this script, none of these words are removed. Hence we can't enter "Lord of rings return of king" for the long movie title. I suspect this was to ensure the short word "a" was still a valid answer for the first category. (Otherwise entering a blank would give you that answer.) And I also suspect the "delete these words" list is an all or nothing choice, so the script cannot just delete "the" "and", "&". A trade-off.
How about adding a note atop the quiz indicating 'You must type out any occurances of "the" in titles.' Not a perfect solution, but better than nothing. |
