So this is the follow-up to my original Aa to Az quiz. Like the first draft of that one, I'm not completely satisfied with a couple of the answers here, so I'm open to any suggestions and feedback. Thanks.

It's very nice. I'd only quibble with the obscure AHULL when AHEAD is much more user-friendly. I missed that and AJ- and AQ-; not much to do about the latter two I guess.

Trazom, I thought of ahead, but thought it would be "boring" if you will. But considering still no one has gotten ahull, I'll make the switch. Thanks for your input.

I do enjoy these quizzes. I agree the clue for AJ- is a little rough, but unfortunately I have no suggestions.

@rhr31: Except it kind of needs to be 5 letters.

Well, according to morewords.com, the only others for AJ are ajiva and ajuga, neither of which would be any less brutal (although they are one word). Also, I was not particularly fond of the aisle clue.

Come to think of it, you might want to do "ajoin" or "ajust" and as a clue say "common misspelling of..." - might be a bit easier.

"Ajira" is the name of an airline in the series "Lost". I don't know of any reall good AQs.

Well I originally had "Ajmer" (Indian city) as the answer, but something like 1.5% were getting it so that had to go. Miyomiyo, I like your common misspelling suggestion, I'll keep that in mind. If anyone likes someone's suggestion, please up vote their comment so I can get an idea of which to use. And nearly half have gotten AQ- so I'm not too worried about that one.

@ imclala. Jack London, the author. Black, White and London are last names of various Jacks. It doesn't quite fit with the rest, but I don't have any better ideas. I like the theme though. I love language quizzes! Good job!

I probably would have guessed the "Am" entry correct if the clue was related to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but a good quiz.

MrEnglishman - In the US, an aisle is a row of shelving in the supermarket. "Clean up in aisle 3," is something that might be said over the intercom in order to alert staff that there is a mess to clean up. I liked this quiz a lot! :-)

A cultural hint for Akbar: Fishy admiral in Return of the Jedi. Another good "Aj" word (possibly as obscure): Capital of Corsica: Ajaccio.

Fun quiz. Maybe this is unnecessary nitpicking, but I would hardly call a civilization that existed from the 14th to 16th centuries AD 'ancient.'

I'm just pissed that I know the name of the fictional Indian airliner now. I was proud to say that I knew nothing about that ridiculous TV show...and then I took this quiz.

I think you should accept abolish, also "clean up on aisle 3" is from the lonely island song "jizz in my pants", but I don't know if that was just a coincidence
