| Fun! But on #17, shouldn't you accept "Dart"? As best as my memory serves, Swingers were a trim level for the Dart and shared taillights with the regular Dart and Dart Custom four-door and two-door Special hardtop model. While the "Swinger" trimmed model far outpaced the production of all the less exciting Dart and Dart Custom models, they were still sold as and were/are Dodge Darts. On a related note, don't confuse the Swinger and Special 2-dr hardtops with the "Demon" coupes which utilized a different bodyshell (shared with the Plymouth Duster) and had a 3" shorter wheelbase. In 1973 the "Demon" name was dropped and these alternate coupe models became "Dart Sport" models. |
