	It's a good idea for a quiz, but it doesn't work out as well as using countries simply because there are only 50 states

	I'm going to echo what kbowe said. A for effort, but it doesn't work as well for states. You can just type in the states until you get them without paying any attention to the drop down clues.

	Well I liked it. Took me until the dying moments to get the 8-letter and I kept thinking "wait, how long is _____ again?" Not quite as good as the countries but worked. NB: I'm British.

	Too much time- it's awfully easy to just type every state in four minutes, regardless of what other states might show up.

	I like the idea, but it didn't really work in practice. I found myself just typing random states and not really using the hints much at all.

	I'd leave it at four. On quizzes like this, I'm one of those who actually considers my answers rather than just typing in all 50 states.

	@jht, the problem is 2 minutes is too short if you're actually taking the quiz for its intended purposes. The quiz simply does not work for anyone too familiar with the states because it's just a matter of typing in states. If you lower it to two minutes it then ruins it for those who aren't that familiar with the states because they don't have time to read the clues from the ones they missed and think about other states with letters in that area.

	I took it 'for real' (not just randomly typing states) and finished in exactly 2:00. That's probably cutting it close, but I would definitely shave one minute off of it. In terms of the results page, a similar issue came up on another quiz I took and commenters suggested it had something to do with bonus answers. My guess is you listed Delaware and Tennessee after some of the other bonus answers? I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I bet it has something to do with that.

	Agreed that it is tough to do with states. I got the 6- and 9-letter answers on the first try because I couldn't think of many states with that amount of letters. Good idea though!

	Agree with Hollywood Leo, as a non American I found this quiz challenging as I don't have the US states imprinted in my mind so actually racked my brain to think of ones which had 6,7,8, and 9 letters and did the quiz as intended. I don't think it would matter shortening it to 2 minutes because those who know all of the US states off the top of their head will still probably randomly guess states, because if you do it the way it's intended it is going to take time. So I think this is a very good and challenging quiz for people that don't know all of the US states off by heart.
