| Why, oh WHY, must everyone do the same mistakes over and over again?! Here goes: 1) Greenland and the Faroe (not 'Faeroe') islands aren't dependencies, they're just as much part of Denmark as Wales is part of the UK. 2) Svalbard isn't a dependency, it's an integral part of Norway. It's not 'Peter Island', it's 'Peter I Island'. Weird, yes, but that's just how it is. 3) French Guiana, Réunion, Martinique and Guadeloupe are regions of France, not dependencies. You also forgot St. Barthélemy and the French Southern and Antarctic Lands. 4) It's annoying having to include 'Island', 'Atoll' and 'Reef' to every US dependency. You should split Howland and Baker into two separate answers. And if you're going to include the minor outlying islands, at least be nitpicky enough to include Kure Atoll and Swains Island too. 5) It's called Netherlands Antilles (with an 'S' at the end of Netherlands). 6) Hong Kong and Macau aren't dependencies, but special administrative regions of China. PLEASE fix, or just delete the entire quiz, your call really. |
