| So "I'll Be There For You" doesn't refer to the Friends theme song by the Rembrandts, "Best of My Love" isn't the Eagles song, "I Think I Love You" wasn't really the Partridge Family, and all of these songs were better than anything the Beatles ever wrote? I'll remember that next time I'm watching Grease and that deeply romantic love ballad "You're the One that I Want" comes on. Because crappy songs like "Something" or "Here, There, and Everywhere" or "And I Love Her" or "In My Life" or For No One" or "If I Fell" could never measure up to anything on this list. Let's face it, the Beatles wasted a good portion of their lives writing terrible, unpopular songs that never had anything to do with "Real Love"! I guess the Bee Gees were right when they said "All You Need Is Love"... |
