This quiz is very lacking. No Luke Appling, no Pete Alexander, Cap Anson played for the Cubs, not the White Sox. I didn't even get to the other two sports.

sorry about appling and alexander. Accidently left them off. Anson actually played for the White Stockings though.

George Allen coached the Los Angeles Rams. He was dead before they moved to St. Louis.

jgrape: The Chicago White Stockings are now the Chicago Cubs. The Chicago White Sox were not created until 1901 and since Anson retired in 1897 he obviously did not play for them.

the abbreviation CWS can also mean Chicago White Stockings can't it? I know he didn't play for the White Sox. He was never a Cub though. So how would YOU have me abbreviate it?

If people don't know that the white sox weren't around in the 1870's to 1890's that's their problem.
